Hi! We're the Cardozas. We cordially invite you to follow us on our adventures around the world and around the neighborhood, wherever that may be at the moment. We like to move and explore, learn and have fun, get dirty and relax sometimes, too.

Right now we're living in Cambridge, United Kingdom. We've also called home the following places: Seattle, Washington (USA); Provo, Utah (USA); Cimarron, New Mexico (USA); Moscow, Russia. We've also traveled extensively in the United States, Vietnam, and China. We're excited for the opportunity to spend the next few years in the UK so we can explore some of Europe.

Ashley is the soul of the family. She loves to make things 'just so'. From our adventures, to the house, to her numerous creative projects, everything is in order and is beautiful. When she isn't wrangling the kids or planning our adventures abroad, she is breathing life into the blog. She enjoys writing and photography. But her true love is travel. Ashley loves to experience the world. While she may be quiet, she is not timid when it comes to trying new things.

Basically Ashley is superwoman. She has climbed mountains while feeding babies (baby wearing can turn into baby feeding), protected Danny from ruthless canines, and even delivered a baby by herself in a speeding vehicle. She can do anything.

Danny loves to think, create, and be outside. He is an anthropologist, and is currently getting a PhD from the University of Cambridge, Trinity Hall. He has done research in Russia, Vietnam, China, and the USA on religion and social change. He is currently doing a project in Kyrgyzstan, and will be doing research there for the foreseeable future. 

Danny loves to climb, cycle, and backpack. Mostly, Danny loves nature. Getting outside and seeing the beauties of the world, through the lens of a camera, and with Ashley and the kiddos. Danny is kind of a gear nerd. You can see some of the reviews he has written here.

Sophie is a goober. A goofy goober. She is wild and fiery; there is no taming Sophie. She loves herself a good story, whether it is in the form of a book, movie, or telling the story herself (she can make up some wild stories!). She loves the outdoors and goes nuts if she is cooped up for too long. Sophie's favorite food is rice, which is probably because she ate buckets of it when we lived in Vietnam and China doing field research. Sophie is on a 'human body' kick and loves to learn about the body.

Sophie is a socialite. No matter where she goes, she is the center of attention. She warms up to people quickly and makes fast friends. But don't worry, she is aware that creepy guys in vans, giving out candy, can't be trusted.

Luna is a bottomless pit. Seriously. We feel bad writing this as the first thing about her, but when you meet her, you too will understand that she has a ferocious love for eating. Luna is the chillest kid on the block (as long as she isn't hungry...). She is super patient and flexible, which is good, because the rest of us tend to be quite spastic. That isn't to say that she is dull; she is a shining star and loves to put on a show, dance, and give long, rambling orations. Heavens knows what she is saying, but it is assuredly profound. 

Luna was born full throttle (read the story here) and she shows no sign of slowing down. She is always exploring and plays with the weirdest things, which tells us she has a blossoming imagination. Check back and we'll detail Luna as she continues to develop over the coming years!
